14 Day Tour

To mark it's 10th anniversary, Best Scottish Tours has pulled together a 14 day round trip Vacation of Bonnie Scotland. This group tour takes in all the major attractions in Scotland during the beautiful Spring Season. The group tour includes Dinner, bed and breakfast as well as your vehicle and Driver/Guide. 10 Day Isle of Skye Experience

Supreme Scottish Experience Tour

The Isle of Skye or “Misty Isle” which has been occupied since the Mesolithic period is steeped in history and beauty. When visiting Skye, you feel like you are part of another world. From the moment you leave, Glen Coe, you notice the change in the landscape creating an all together mystical experience when you reach Eilean Donan Castle. This tour brings the highlights of Scotland to your days, by incorporating, Skye – visiting Eilean Donan Castle, Stirling – visiting Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument and Edinburgh – visiting Edinburgh Castle and much more.

Day 1

Arriving at Glasgow or Edinburgh airport, you will be welcomed by your Tour Driver and whisked off to the Bonnie, Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. Dependant on arrival time, you will be spending your first day within Scotland’s First National Park before heading on to the town of Dunoon “The Gateway to the Highlands” for your first evening. Once at your Hotel, you can relax and enjoy your first Scottish Dinner.

Day 2

After a hearty Scottish Breakfast, we will depart for the Isle of Skye. We take the Highland roads via Dalmally and then on to Glen Coe where we will get to know a little more about the history surrounding the Highlands at the Glen Coe Visitor Centre. We then head for the Eilean Donan Castle probably one of Scotland’s most photographed Castles. We will then make our way to the Kyles of Lochalsh for our first night in the Highlands at our Country Hotel.

Day 3

Today after our Scottish Breakfast, we will be visiting the Isle of Skye for the first time. We will visit the capital of the Island – a town called Portree. Then follows a visit to the Talisker Whiskey Distillery (the only Distillery on Skye) for a Connoisseurs Tour (includes tasting and a little keepsake). Later we will visit Armadale Castle and Gardens, the Cuillin Mountains and Dunvegan Castle. We then return to our Highland Hotel for our second evening in the Misty Isle.

Day 4

After Breakfast, we head for Fort Augustus at the foot of Loch Ness. Here you will be able to witness the beauty of Loch Ness and the engineering that joins the Loch to the sea at the Caledonian Canal. From here we will head to Edradour Distillery which is claimed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland which produces some of the finest single malt. Then we carry on into Pitlochry which wins the “Town in Bloom” each year before heading to our hotel for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 5

Today after breakfast, we make our way to Stirling where we will visit the Wallace monument which commemorates Scotland’s greatest national hero, Sir William Wallace who defeated the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in the year 1297. We then visit Stirling Castle set high atop ancient rock and amazing history. Here we can arrange lunch or high tea in the Stirling Castle Vaults to make a memory to last a lifetime. We also aim to visit the Bannockburn Heritage Centre today time permitting. After a wonderful day, we will head to our hotel for our dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 6

This morning we have an early start as we will go to Edinburgh Castle for our pre opening visit. We will be escorted around the Castle prior to the opening hours to give you a personal experience of the Castle, followed by a lovely Scottish breakfast. After lunch, we will visit Roslyn Chapel and if time permits you can even do some shopping along the Royal mile. We then head off to our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 7

This morning we have another early start as we make our way to St Andrews in time to place our ballot to play the “Old Course”. Dependant on ballot, we will take the day to enjoy a round of golf on the historic course. Alternatively, we will play the new addition of the courses at St Andrews, the Castle Course. We then head off to our hotel for our final nights dinner.

Day 8

After breakfast today, we will be making the journey to the airport for your departure home.

Please Note, due to the variable weather conditions in Scotland the itinerary may be adjusted to suit.

Per Person breakdown:

7 x £300 per person per day Land tour inclusive of Vehicle, Tour Driver, Accommodation on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis as well as entry into all named attractions.

1 x 371.26 for excursions listed above – These can be amended to lower the cost of the tour by choosing the Standard tour option instead of the Experience option.

Standard tour differs as follows:

Day 3 – Skipping Talisker Distillery and instead covering more of the Isle of Skye for sight seeing. (Deduct £90.00)

Day 5 – Instead of having High Tea in the Vault of Stirling Castle, just the visit to the Castle as per standard itinerary (Deduct £390)

Day 6 – Instead of Breakfast at Pre Opening to Edinburgh Castle, just visit the Castle as per standard itinerary (Deduct 650)

Day 7 – Instead of visiting the Old Course at St Andrews, visit Turnberry and play the course here with Lunch included (Deduct 300)
